Final Fantasy XIV for PS3 delayed

Although the game has been released for the pc,it is still far from perfect. The Playstation 3 FFXIV that should be released in March 2011 has been delayed as the trial period of PC version is extended.

"We deeply regret that the game has yet to achieve the level of enjoyability that Final Fantasy fans have come to expect from the franchise," said Square President and CEO Yoichi Wada.

Wada told that the Final Fantasy XIV team is being reconstructed as Square looks to renew the game, which in turn will affect the PlayStation 3 release.

"It is not our wish to release a simple conversion of the Windows version in its current state, but rather an update that includes all the improvements we have planned," he added, "For that reason, we have made the difficult decision to delay the release of the PlayStation 3 version beyond the originally announced date of March 2011."
